1. Privacy Statement Amendment
1.1 This Scania Asurim Privacy Statement is supplementary to the Scania Privacy Statement and explains how Scania CV AB, org.No 556084-0976, a Swedish company with address S-151 87 Södertälje (“Scania”), acts as a data controller and collects, uses, discloses, transfers and stores personal data relating to you, such as your name, address and online identifiers that Scania collects and registers (“Personal Data”) in connection with your use of the Asurim Web page (“Asurim”).
“Scania Group Company” shall mean a company within the corporate group of Scania CV AB according to the applicable corporate laws of Sweden.
“Network Member(s)” shall mean all distributors, dealers and workshops appointed (whether directly or indirectly) by Scania CV AB as authorised representatives for sales, repair and maintenance of Scania-branded products
“Scania Stakeholder(s)” shall mean Scania Group Companies, Network Members, agents, external service providers and other business partners of Scania and the Scania Group, as involved in any of the data processing or other activities contemplated herein.
1.2 For the sake of completeness, you are hereby informed that the customer company which you may represent may also process your Personal Data for its own purposes. Scania hereby disclaims any and all liability for said customer company’s processing of your data and hereby refers you to said customer company regarding its processing of your personal data.
1.3 What Personal Data will be processed?
The Personal Data collected by Scania may include;
(a) Company name and contact person name, phone number, e-mail address
(b) Address: street, postal code, city/town, state/province/county, country, longitude and latitude
(c) Engine number(s), Ship ID
(d) Start of warranty date
1.4 What are the purposes for processing your Personal Data?
1.4.1 The purpose of Scania’s processing of your Personal Data is:
(a) To be able to provide warranty on Scania engines
(b) To be able to run different type of recall campaigns, such as: Recommended Action (RA), Technical Campaign (TC), Recall Campaign (RC)
(c) For prospecting and sales of Scania maintenance & repair service
(d) To deliver agreed repair service with customer (to search for spare parts)
(e) To secure parts compulsory assortment at the dealer level according to Scania Dealer Operation Standard (DOS) in order to improve customer’s engine uptime
(f) To proceed warranty claims and internal invoicing within Scania organisations
(g) To be able to provide engine specification data to customers in order to fulfil customs regulation
1.5 What are the legal bases for processing your Personal Data?
All processing as above is based on Scania’s legitimate interest, where such interest outweighs the limited impact on your own interests, fundamental rights and freedoms.
1.6 Who has access to your Personal Data?
1.6.1 Your Personal Data may be used by Scania Stakeholders (with relevant restrictions for them).
1.7 For how long will your Personal Data be stored?
Scania will store your Personal Data as long as it is reasonably necessary to fulfil the purposes for which it was collected, whereby Scania will retain your Personal Data for a period of time determined by Scania based on its need to fulfil the purposes of the processing of the Personal Data. Scania may, instead of destroying or erasing your Personal Data, make it anonymous such that it cannot be associated with or tracked back to you.
1.8 What are your rights?
1.8.1 To see and execute your rights, visit Scania Privacy Statement. Please note however, that an erasure of your Personal Data or a restriction of Scania’s processing of your Personal Data may mean that Scania will not be able to provide engine warranty to you, wholly or partially.
2. Revisions of this Privacy Statement Amendment
Scania shall be entitled to revise this Privacy Statement at any time. When doing so, Scania shall provide the revised Privacy Statement through Asurim Web page.
